Farhaana’s first experience with acting was unexpected. As the understudy for the character of Beneatha Younger in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the sun, she assumed the role when the actress who was initially cast could not take it.
This role set the trajectory for wanting to pursue the craft. The ability to bring the audience in and make them laugh and cry was one that was not taken for granted. After earning her doctorate in math education, she began training to immerse herself in the art of acting. Currently, she enjoys working on comedies, sci-fi, and dramas.
